Welcome to the Future Leaders of the World Project Developing Tomorrow's Leaders Today!
Our Mission: To empower students with practical life skills, work ethics and financial literacy while simultaneously helping them to acquire and maintain full engagement in the academic learning process.
We know that many children are still being left behind in spite of the "No Child Left Behind" policies established over the past years. With over one million children dropping out of school each year and the number growing daily, the problem has become epidemic. A major cause for high drop out rates is the disconnect between what teachers are asking student to learn and real life.
Since fictitious or "cyber" money is used in the project, students of all abilities and performance levels can participate. Such inclusion encourages all students to excel. Getting an education is a lot of work, but no one treats it like a job. In the F.L.O.W. Project, getting an education is treated like a job. Work now has value because students receive a paycheck* based on the amount and quality of the work done.
* No real money is used in the project .
1.3 million students drop out of school a year that's 1 every 26 seconds. Join us on May 19 from 3-6pm at the Roberts Riverwalk Hotel 1000 River Place Dr. Detroit 48207 for our first annual fund raiser. Gather with us to.... MAKE A DIFFERENCE Please go to "Upcoming Events" page to register
Value of the Program
Getting an education is a lot of work, but no one treats it like a job. In the F.L.O.W. Project, getting an education is treated like a job. Students’ work now has value because they get a paycheck* based on the amount and quality of the work done.

Value to Educators
Participating in the F.L.O.W. Project empowers students with knowledge of the real world and how their education and work habits will affect their daily lives, thus illustrating the importance of mastering the academic process. Further, it teaches accountability and encourages self discipline. This is achieved without:
Loading the teacher down with extra work
Transporting the students to another location
Taking away from class learning time
Value to the Student
Upon receiving their cyber checks, the students engage in a number of life skill activities:
Balancing check books
Paying bills
Calculating payroll,
Completing required management reports
Performing bank operations
Acting as department supervisors
Calculating savings needs
... and much more.
Developing tomorrow's leaders ........TODAY
These activities require the student to develop and use accurate math skills, collaboration skills, customer relation skills, marketing, self management skills and personal finance skills.
